If you hover up fast enough, you won't need to worry about the guay. You can substitute some chu hovers with bomb hovers, but if you're not consistent on getting plenty of height with each one, you'll be depending on pulling out hookshot and rolling to see how high you are.

If your settings change the size of the chest to a small chest, this won't be possible.
