In this video, I am sharing the traditional Radha Saptami Special Prasadham – Godhuma Ravva Paramannam, a pure sattvic South Indian sweet dish made using wheat rava (broken wheat / godhuma ravva), milk, jaggery, ghee, and dry fruits. This prasadham is widely prepared in Vaishnava homes and temples during Radha Saptami, Krishna-related festivals, and auspicious vratams.
Godhuma Ravva Paramannam is not only spiritually significant but also healthy, nourishing, and easy to digest, making it perfect for naivedyam and prasadam distribution.
🌼 Spiritual Importance of Radha Saptami Prasadham
Radha Saptami symbolizes pure love, devotion, surrender, and divine feminine energy. Offering sweet prasadham on this day is said to:

Preparing prasadham with devotion and cleanliness is considered equal to temple seva.
🌾 What is Godhuma Ravva?
Godhuma Ravva is broken wheat, also known as wheat rava or cracked wheat. It is widely used in temple-style cooking because:

• Gives soft, creamy texture
• Keeps the stomach light and healthy
• Ideal for prasadham and vratam days

🥣 Ingredients for Godhuma Ravva Paramannam
• Godhuma Ravva (broken wheat)
• Milk
• Jaggery (bellam)

🍚 Step-by-Step Procedure for Godhuma Ravva Paramannam
Step 1: Washing the Godhuma Ravva
Take Godhuma Ravva in a bowl and wash it 2–3 times thoroughly. Drain the water completely and keep aside.
Step 2: Cooking the Wheat Rava
In a thick-bottom vessel, add water and bring it to a boil. Add the washed Godhuma Ravva slowly while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Cook on low to medium flame until the wheat becomes soft and well cooked.
Step 3: Adding Milk
Once the wheat rava is cooked, add boiled milk to the mixture. Mix gently and cook on low flame until the texture becomes creamy and smooth.
Step 4: Preparing Jaggery Syrup
In a separate pan, add grated jaggery with a little water. Heat until the jaggery melts completely. Strain the syrup to remove impurities.
Step 5: Mixing Jaggery Syrup
Add the strained jaggery syrup to the cooked wheat and milk mixture. Stir well and cook on low flame. Do not boil on high flame after adding jaggery.
Step 6: Adding Flavor
Add cardamom powder for aroma and divine fragrance. Mix gently.
Step 7: Ghee Tempering
Heat ghee in a small pan. Fry cashews until golden and raisins until they puff up. Add this tempering to the paramannam and mix softly.
Step 8: Naivedyam Offering
Transfer the prasadham into a clean bowl. Offer it to Sri Radha Krishna with flowers, incense, and devotion before consuming.
