This is my arrangement of "Feel the Beat", the first race BGM from Sega's 1993 Genesis game OutRun 2019, arranged for native playback on SNES hardware.

The audio was recorded directly from a launch-model SNES deck.

I've been on one of my SNES tracking kicks again recently (as I'm sure you can tell if you follow my uploads at all), and it occured to me that I hadn't ever shown much appreciation for the Sega Genesis with my covers/arrangements/remixes/whatever you want to call them.

Outrun 2019 was a pretty cool console-exclusive sequel to the arcade classic, and I always enjoyed it. That is in large part thanks to its soundtrack. It had some really classic tunes on it, and I don't see much about that game at all online. I had a lot of fun putting this one together, and I hope you all like it!

So, it's 2019 and we still don't have rocket cars, but still, it seemed like a good time to unleash this one now. I mean, who knows how long we might be waiting before we finally get to 1993's version of 2019?

I mean, damn. It's 2019 and I still think it's cool that I can start the car just by pushing a button while the key is in my pocket! Maybe this future would be too much for me to handle... lmao.
