DCS World - MiG-21 - Clash with Mirages over Golan Heights, 7 October 1973.

In October 1973, Arab Coalition lead by Egypt and Syria launched a surprise attack against Israel on Jewish holiday known as Yom Kippur. Arabs heavily relied on surface-to-air systems for protection against Israeli Air Force but fighter aircraft were still heavily used. Especially the most capable fighter available to Arabs - MiG-21. We join a group of Syrian MiG-21s on an escort mission for Su-7 bombers over Golan Heights. With heavy activity over the front line, it is very likely that Israeli Mirage fighters will be encountered.
