Pedalling From Coast to Coast: Trans American Cycling Adventure | Episode 1

Описание к видео Pedalling From Coast to Coast: Trans American Cycling Adventure | Episode 1

After a bit of a delay today's video is the first from my ride across America. I set off just over a week ago now, and so far am following the ACA Trans American Trail. The Trans America Bicycle Trail, established in 1976 for the U.S. Bicentennial, is a renowned coast-to-coast cycling route spanning approximately 4,200 miles. Starting in Astoria, Oregon, and ending in Yorktown, Virginia, riders experience the majestic Rockies, the serene Midwest plains, and the historic Appalachian Mountains.

I am open to changing the route as I go on this tour, but was keen to start on the coast, which is why I opted to begin with the classic Trans American route rather than the bike nonstop route that I discussed in a recent video.

I begin this video at the start of the route, setting off from Astoria. I was incredibly nervous before starting on this adventure, I think nerves are normal before something like this, but nonetheless I was surprised how apprehensive I was given it was only last year I completed the GDMBR and had probably the best 2 months of my life doing so. Thankfully the nerves started to ease as I ticked off the first few days, and I am excited to find what this historic route has to offer as I progress across the country.

Thank you for watching, and if you would like to follow along with this adventure please make sure to subscribe.
