Keep on the Sunny Side -- 5-String Bluegrass Banjo Lesson in C

Описание к видео Keep on the Sunny Side -- 5-String Bluegrass Banjo Lesson in C

Hear this tune played with guitar rhythm backup (slow, medium, fast) starting at 9:53. Guitar chords are provided on-screen.

This is an instructional tutorial 5-string bluegrass banjo lesson teaching my version of the popular Bluegrass Gospel tune "Keep On the Sunny Side."

"Keep on the Sunny Side is a popular American song originally written in 1899 by Ada Blenkhorn (1858–1927) with music by J. Howard Entwisle (1866–1903). The song was popularized in a 1928 recording by the Carter Family. ... In 1899 Ada Blenkhorn was inspired to write the Christian hymn by a phrase used by her nephew. Blenkhorn's nephew was disabled and always wanted his wheelchair pushed down "the sunny side" of the street." (Wikipedia)

On this video I teach the tune lick by lick, phrase by phrase, using on-screen tablature, then I put it together -- slowly at first, then faster toward the end, adding rhythm guitar audio overlay and on-screen chord prompts.

Free downloadable tab sheets (PDF) and play-along tracks (MP3) for this and many other tunes are available at my website, www.littlerockbanjo.com.

Hope you enjoy.
