Bokura Mangaka: Tokiwa-sou Monogatari [144p Quality] [Raw]

Описание к видео Bokura Mangaka: Tokiwa-sou Monogatari [144p Quality] [Raw]

Tokiwa was the apartment complex where a group of real life new wave artists lived in 1953. Hiro Terada, Motoo Abiko and Hiroshi Fujimoto, Shotaro Ishinomori or Fujio Akatsuka shared the same tribulations as struggling young artists and writers... They were constantly broke and had no luck with editors or girls, but were nonetheless endowed with an insanely youthful enthusiasm that enabled them to survive the lean years. They later went on to rise as stars in the subculture's firmament.

Medium's nature: TV-Rip
Ripper: ?
Status: A superior TV-Rip transfer is a must. The image is indeed shoddy, but the audio quality is surprisingly very decent in comparison. No known English subs so far.

A very rare TV Special, which anidb credits as having no ripper. With that in mind, I hope you will excuse me for the terrible image quality.
You can find it somewhere else in Youtube, but split in several parts. That makes this version the best you can readily access. Directed by Shinichi Suzuki, another tenant of the famous Tokiwa building and one of the founders of the defunct Studio Zero. Unfortunately, Tokiwa was demolished in 1981, which prompted both this anime and NHK's rival live-action documentary "Tokiwa Villa of My Youth" to be produced. Albeit the anime went on to be forgotten, it enjoyed a certain degree of success during its prime.
It is one of TV Special I wish to see subbed the most, as it represents an invaluable insight about the History of the medium...
