The Australiana Pioneer Village -Wilberforce

What a fantastic look into our past, these homes and shops were built within the Hawksbury region as early as 1810 and moved onto the site of the Rose Cottage. The Rose cottage , where it still stands is the oldest timber building in Australia. The village is run by a group of dedicated volunteers dressed in period costumes they share a wealth of information on how life was back then and how they lived. If you have the nerves go on their ghost tours, not so scary during the day this place offers plenty of gumtree shaded picnic areas and barbeques.
