This is a straightforward exercise to help fiddlers improve their fourth-finger intonation. I've been using this exercise as a warm-up and teaching it to my fiddle students for years. Do it for a minute or two whenever you take your fiddle out of its case.

Because this exercise asks a lot of your weak, poorly coordinated fourth finger, I would recommend doing very short sessions, but do them regulary. If you've just started using your fourth finger, you're going to feel the burn!
