Anthony Robert Bass Jr. was eighteen years old when he went missing from Atwater, California, on October 29, 1995. He was last seen by his girlfriend, who watched him leave with Joel Wedge to go fishing. Anthony had informed her and others that Joel was taking him fishing. Tragically, this would be the last time she or anyone would see Anthony alive.

Later that day, when Joel returned without Anthony, his girlfriend became concerned and questioned him. She described Joel as acting strangely and said he told her that he had dropped Anthony off at a baseball field in Chowchilla, California. Since then, there has been no trace of Anthony, and this year marks thirty years since his disappearance.

Anthony left behind a family that deserves answers. His mother passed away without knowing what happened to him, and his sister is actively seeking information in his case. She has expressed a desire for the case to be reopened if it is currently closed. The only person who may provide insight into Anthony's fate is Joel Wedge, and there are rumors that another man went missing around the same time as Anthony.

Shortly after Anthony’s disappearance, Joel was arrested for driving a stolen car, the same one that he had used to give Anthony a ride.
