Istanbul Airport (Turkish: İstanbul Havalimanı, (IATA: IST) is the larger of two international airports serving Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the Arnavutköy district on the European side of the city, about 54 km (33 miles) from downtown Istanbul.
There are several transportation options for getting to and from the airport, including buses, private shuttles, rental cars and taxis.
The terminal building is huge, divided into five concourses, but there is only one airport security area for domestic flights and another one for international flights. The main terminal now in service at Istanbul International Airport is the largest airport terminal building under a single roof in the world.
