This FA Cup sixth round tie between Luton Town FC and Everton FC was played at Kenilworth Rd, Luton on the 8th March 1986. The tie finished 2-2 with Everton winning the replay 1-0 four days later with a goal from Gary Lineker. The Everton FC scorers were Graeme Sharp and Adrian Heath and the Luton Town FC scorers were Mick Hartford and Mark Stein, Everton went on to reach the 1985-86 FA Cup Final (their third FA Cup Final in a row) losing to Liverpool FC 1-3 at Wembley Stadium, London.
