Follow the journey of an old GWR 5700 class tank engine through various train-related environments.

Models / animation created in 3DS Max 2012, Photoshop for textures and the final composition made in Adobe Premiere. It took about 1 month of work, and over 80 hours to render. (5 different animation files, 13 camera, 2375 frames, roughly 2 minutes a frame)

Quite challenging, and very fiddly. It's all part of the quest for knowledge however, which made it worth it. The video isn't without imperfections, and I could go back and fix them but I feel that'd be dishonest to the video and the original deadline this project had. If I could do it again, I'd add some VFX like smoke or tree leaves and make sure mental ray isn't going to randomly add purple.

(Note: The train noises are most likely not accurate to a true 5700 class but there's only so much I could do in the given time, or take from free resources.)
