Welcome back to The Metaphysical Book Club. In today’s episode, I take you inside my morning spiritual practice—a fluid blend of reading, journaling, contemplation, and meditation—and share a powerful teaching that helped me understand one of the most difficult concepts to express in words: duality.

This reflection was sparked by a passage from Life and Teaching of the Masters of the Far East (Volume 4), a text that beautifully illustrates duality using a simple but profound metaphor:
2 + 2 = 3 and 2 + 2 = 5 are both distortions; only 2 + 2 = 4 represents truth. In the same way, extremes — whether in health, belief, politics, or identity — are illusions we mistakenly argue about, rather than returning to the steady truth beneath them.
