How to Replace A Boat Tilt Trailer Tongue With a Longer One

Описание к видео How to Replace A Boat Tilt Trailer Tongue With a Longer One

In this video, I show how to replace the 8 ft boat trailer tongue with an 11 foot tongue. The trailer is the correct size and capacity for a 17 ft Boston Whaler Montauk but a bit short for my tastes. Adding three feet to the length will make it easier to launch without dunking half the truck in the the water at the boat ramp. This will of course change the tongue weight. Once I finish the restoration and have all the components installed in the Montauk I'll check and adjust if necessary.

I'll be making a few minor changes in the future. or one thing, I'll be changing the nuts on all the components to locking nuts. I'll also probably cut the safety chain into two separate units.
