Tutorial: How can we measure the mean sea level with millimeter precision?

Описание к видео Tutorial: How can we measure the mean sea level with millimeter precision?

How precise are satellite measurements of the global mean sea level? We will talk about sampling periodic signals, and reducing the variance of sums of random variables.
I thought a bit on whether one should talk here about precision or accuracy. Precision seemed slightly more appropriate, because repeated measurements are used to decrease the variability. But one could argue that the question of accuracy, or smallness of bias, also has its importance here.
