Fly Tying - The Stonefish Nymph

Описание к видео Fly Tying - The Stonefish Nymph

Fly Tying the Stonefish Nymph which utilises two hidden tungsten beads in the thorax of the nymph. A great pattern for fishing in fast riffles and runs, where you want to get the nymph down through the water column quickly.
There are easier ways to incorporate a tungsten bead into a fly pattern. But, i believe the philosophy of fly fishing is to fool the fish into believing that the fly you present to them is a natural insect. So, the tungsten bead should be hidden within the dressing, to give the final fly a more natural appearance. The name Stonefish comes from the name of an old British naval mine which was used to sink a few big battleships. Like its namesake, it has accounted for a few battleships in the shapes of trout over the past fews years. #flytying #flyfishing #troutfishing
