Here's a very cool item from 1958-59. This Silvertone is unique in that it has an AM radio in addition to the Manual/Automatic (Manumatic) 4-speed changer. Operation is the same as the earlier post of the STEREO Manumatic. Unfortunately, the belt in this unit is shot & I'm sending out for another to be installed in the near future BUT it works just fine as you see it in 78 RPM. The radio is an "All American Five" which has been recapped, the cartridge has been changed to a Sonotone #52T stereo cartridge bridged for mono & the changer has been gone through (sans the belt). There is one GREAT advantage to this player in that it is more servicible than most because it has quick disconnects for the changer connection to the radio/amp. Manumatic models are relatively scarce & I'm aware of at least 5 models available in the past. I currently own two & would be interested in any of the others not seen here for my collection.

I wanted the Manumatics in my collection because the mechanism is a cousin to the RCA RP-168 changer utilizing a cam system beneath the turntable to reject the mechanism in 16 & 45 RPM speeds. The reject selector must, however, be held until the cam grabs the reject arm unlike just tapping the reject button as in "normal" models.
