Aspire to Do More: How Two Institutions Redesigned the Transfer Experience to Improve Institutional Access and Outcomes

Discover how a regional community college and an R1 university increased affordable access for underserved populations, tackled enrollment challenges resulting from the Covid pandemic, and fostered a sense of shared institutional connectedness for students. The Aspire Program, a transfer program partnership between Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College, is built on a transformative service approach that seeks to treat transfer students (and families) as if their college experiences were curated by a personal concierge. The enhanced partnership began in Spring 2023 and goals related to Fall 2023 application, enrollment, and transfer enrollment were exceeded.
