Pang (Arcade Machine)

Pang is a cooperative two-player arcade video game released in 1989 by the Mitchell Corporation. It was released on North American by Capcom as Buster Bros.

In this game players must finish a round-the-world quest overcoming 50 stages along 17 locations. Every location has a different background and every stage has its own structures.

To overcome a stage players must destroy all the balloons on the screen. Every time that you hit a balloon it divides itself in two smaller balloons, process continues until you eliminate the little bubbles.

Every stage start with a different number and sizes of balloons, Depending on the stage when you hit the balloons they will drop some power ups as a shield, double harpoon, a gun, etc.

It has cute graphics, a great music and a wonderful sound, I remember to play it on arcade saloons hearing the pang sound reverberating.

Pang had a great success, it was converted to all the domestic formats of 8 and 16 bits. Some of these conversions are great too.

You have a limited time to destroy all the balloons, if you are hit by a balloon you die.

It is a very original and funny game, it isn't too much hard even to be a coin op and you will enjoy it. It had a sequel named Super Pang.
