Kumily: The Syro Malabar land deal case is at the crossroads as a Mathrubhumi News investigation has found that Saju Varghese, the controversial middleman in the deal, has signed an agreement to buy an estate worth crores of rupees. The Cardinal had told the inquiry commission that Saju informed him that he could not repay the money due to financial crisis. Saju entered into an agreement to buy an estate in Idukki worth Rs 5 crore, eight months after the land deal of the church.
