Kaappaan audio launch: Highlights | sicp

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, KV Anand directorial Kaappaan, starring Suriya, Mohanlal, Boman Irani, Sayyeshaa, Arya and Samuthirakani among others, has music by Harris Jayaraj.

The music of Kaappaan is composed by Harris Jayaraj.

Kaappaan, directed by KV Anand, is 37th project of Suriya, who was last seen in Selvaraghavan’s NGK. KV Anand and Suriya have earlier worked on Ayyan and Maattran. While the former was a blockbuster, the latter was a box-office dud.

In Kaappaan, Suriya shares screen space with Mohanlal for the first time. From the teaser that was released in April, we understand the Malayalam superstar plays the Prime Minister of India and Suriya will be seen as a special agent.

Kaappaan boasts of an ensemble star cast that includes Boman Irani, Sayyeshaa, Arya and Samuthirakani.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, this Suriya-starrer has music by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography by Prabhu.

Superstar Rajinikanth, director Shankar and lyricist Vairamuthu also graced the audio launch of Kaappaan.

According to sources, the film may release on August 30.

Suriya’s Kaappaan gets new release date

Kaappaan, directed by Ko fame KV Anand, stars Mohanlal, Sayyesha, Boman Irani, Arya and Samutharakani among others. The film is Suriya’s 37th project and he will be seen playing an NSG commando.

At the audio launch of Kaappaan, Mohanlal reportedly said that he has known KV Anand, the director, for 25 years. He said that with this film, Anand will prove that he is the finest with the craft.

Suriya is back with yet another release for the year with Kaappaan, directed by KV Anand. The film’s audio launch was held in Chennai on July 21 and was presided over by superstar Rajinikanth.

Malayalam actor Mohanlal, who is one of the actors in the movie, showered praises on KV Anand and Suriya.

Speaking at the promotional event, Lal reportedly said that he has known KV Anand for 25 years, since the Malayalam movie ‘Thenmavin Kombathu’. He said that with this film, Anand will prove he is the finest with the craft. Lal reportedly went on to say that when he heard the script, he was thrilled to work with Suriya and mentioned that he has an irresistible passion as an actor.

In the film, Lal will play the role of the Prime Minister of India and Suriya will play the role of a first rank special protection group (SPG) officer. The movie marks the first collaboration of Suriya and Lal. Other important roles in the movie are played by Arya, Sayyeshaa, Boman Irani, Chirag Jani, Poorna and Samuthirakani.

Suriya reportedly said that Kaappaan will be relevant to people of all age groups and that the story will be relevant in villages to foreign cities. He remarked that the film is very important to him and everyone who has worked in it.

Kaappaan, produced by Lyca Productions, is expected to hit the theatres on August 30. The official release date is yet to be announced.
