SANCTION are a True, melodic, Power Metal band, originally from Long Island, N.Y. They released 2 self-produced, private-press cassette demo tapes. From 1989 to 1993 they played shows at Right Track Inn, Sundance, CBGB & many other N.Y. clubs.
The 1991 Demo was classic, traditional, epic Heavy Metal, a perfect blend of U.S. & N.W.O.B.H.M à la Iron Maiden / Manowar / Tyton.
The 1993 Demo saw a heavier, faster progression, with a new singer & guitar player. A perfect blend of Power, Melodic Thrash & Speed Metal à la Overkill / Metal Church / Savage Thrust.
