Project Silverado (Part 4): Aftermarket Bumpers and Exterior Upgrades

Описание к видео Project Silverado (Part 4): Aftermarket Bumpers and Exterior Upgrades

There are a lot of great options for upgrading the appearance of a new Chevy Silverado so it doesn’t look like it just rolled off the dealer lot. In this episode of our Summit Racing S71 Silverado series, we’re going to add a few appearance items that’ll also add to the trail-toughness of our rig.

Our makeover starts with and Addictive Desert Design Honey Badger Bumper up front. You’ll notice right away it comes with a skid plate, but It also has a modern, boxy design that enhances the protection of our truck. It offers multiple lighting and winch options, too. For rear bumpers, we went with ADD’s Stealth bumper. It's engineered to fit tight to our truck and offer various lighting, hitch, and sensor options.

We also added a little something for the sides our Silverado. We chose Raptor Series Magnum RT Gen 2 Drop Step bars, which feature a new and improved 30 percent longer step area with raised slots, providing easier entry and exit from our vehicle. They're made from 14 gauge steel and are powdercoated to resist corrosion and extreme elements, so we’ll have use of them for many years to come. The installation was pretty straightforward—the steps simply bolt to the factory mounting locations.

The final pieces to our exterior makeover were Husky wheel well splash guards. The durable plastic guards will guard our vehicle from damage caused by rocks, dirt or whatever else we encounter on our overlanding adventures.
