During Transform 2024 in Manchester, I met up again with Connor Hendrey, Automotive Technical Account Manager at ‪@Siemens‬ Digital Industries, to get an update on "SIMOVE AGV - Siemens scalable automation solution for Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) applications", addressing the challenges of black box technology in the AGV market.

Their solution involves a standardized hardware library tailored to specific AGV vehicles and a complementary software library that dictates design options, such as navigation and drive train methods, and an ANS+ package capable of obstacle avoidance.
