Despite the urge for us to find our own "passion", society still pushes us towards a certain path to achieve it. It's been drilled into our minds from a young age- how to achieve society's version of success. But how can all of us, individuals of different experiences, interests, and ambitions, follow the same road to happiness? We can't. In this talk, the delinking between society's version of success and personal happiness is explored before finally arriving at how all of us can attain happiness in the pursuit of that success.

Yajushi Mattegunta is currently a senior in high school, with an interest in STEM as well as how society thinks and functions to generate norms and stereotypes. She believes that this is applicable to everyone, since it influences how people deal with social pressures in their pursuit for success. Yajushi is a Speech and Debate competitor and captain, and hopes to use her public speaking skills to persuade people to collectively change societal mindsets that pigeonhole individuals into a set path. In her free time, Yajushi loves to read, write, try new types of music, and make jewelry.
