We finally made it to the last volcano on our list – Mount Bromo.

Just like Gunung Batur and Gunung Ijen, Bromo is the most popular for a sunrise hike. This time though, instead of seeing the sunrise from the volcano itself, travelers climb to a viewing point called King Kong Hill, along the rim of the ancient volcano. Mount Bromo and the entire caldera lay inside the remnants of a giant volcano that collapsed on itself.

In this episode we show you details and logistics of how to climb King Kong Hill and share our experience watching the sunrise above the Bromo, Tengger, Semeru National Park. As a fellow traveler said "It is not at all like Instagram." No, it is not, but it was an amazing experience: a very nice hike, beautiful landscapes in the morning sun and forces of nature, propelled by the never-ending fumes of Mount Bromo.
