Daily Diorama Update: Geeking out over 150 year old Mahogany I milled last night!!

Last night was more preparation than work. I did build a small Walnut table, but the main goal was to mill and prep a bunch of wood that I need to build the interior details I want.

One of the woods I milled was some 150+ year old Mahogany that I purchased from an older gentleman 10 years ago. It was milled in New Orleans over a century ago and when I bought it from him he gave me some of the paperwork showing the woods provenance. This is something a little different in Model Building, as we are always using plastics and materials that seem very new.

As a miniature builder, it's sometimes nice to use special materials in my projects. Thank you for letting me geek out a little on these wonderful materials.
