पंजाब, हरियाणा, दिल्ली और उत्तर प्रदेश सहित देश के ज्यादातर हिस्सों में भीषण गर्मी का प्रकोप जारी है. उत्तर-पश्चिम भारत के बड़े हिस्से में सोमवार को भी गर्मी का सितम रहा. इस बीच मौसम विभाग ने बताया कि लोगों को मंगलवार को भी इससे राहत नहीं मिलेगी. भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने कहा कि उत्तर भारत के कई हिस्सों में अगले 2 दिनों के दौरान सीवियर हीटवेव की स्थिति जारी रहने की संभावना है. इसके बाद इसमें धीरे-धीरे कमी आ सकती है. यानी कि 19 और 20 जून से भीषण गर्मी से कुछ राहत मिलने की उम्मीद है. आईएमडी ने सोमवार को अपने पूर्वानुमान में बताया कि दो दिनों के बाद उत्तर-पश्चिम भारत की ओर बढ़ रहे पश्चिमी विक्षोभ के प्रभाव से गर्मी में धीरे-धीरे कमी आएगी. वहीं, मानसून की दस्तक से भी थोड़ी राहत मिल सकती है.
