Solo Hiking the La Cueva Loop Trail - Organ Mountains in New Mexico

Описание к видео Solo Hiking the La Cueva Loop Trail - Organ Mountains in New Mexico

The La Cueva Loop Trail is located in the Dripping Springs Natural Area and is only 10 minutes outside of Las Cruces. The trail can be hiked in either direction but I chose to go clockwise. I left the Visitors Center after paying a $5.00 day use permit and reached the Hermit's Cave at about a half mile. I then went on the Lower La Cueva Trail to the Fillmore Trail which also turns into the Crawford Trail. The La Cueva Loop encompasses SEVERAL trails but I followed the map on AllTrails and stayed on course. It's a great little workout at about 3 miles in distance with only 482 ft in elevation gain. I stopped to eat lunch after the cave and saw 5 mule deer. The trail is very safe to hike alone and had amazing views. Definitely worth your time.
