Leather Craft - CARVING A FEATHER - Leather Working. How to carve a Eagle Feather in leather with leather tools. How to make transfer your patterns and designs to wet and cased vegetable tanned leather. Tooling and carving leather is fun once you know a few basics about the leather carving craft. Eagle feather carving pattern is easy to make as you see in this YouTube video tutorial and you can use it over and over again.
The leather tools I used to carve and bevel my Eagle Feather with are the Craftool steep bevelers number B2044 and B2045 and a Craftool black poly maul. The leather carving knife is one that I handmade and I call it "The Un-Swivel Knife" I used an old lawn mower blade for the blade steel and brass tubing wrapped in leather for the body finished off with a button on top. A fun leather carving knife to use on this feather caving project.
