Located in New England, the state of Massachusetts has hosted some fine jazz bands over the years. In the 20s, all sorts of great jazz could be heard fom the Berkshires to the Back Bay. This set of 25 recordings looks at 10 of the finest jazz age bands and artists from the Bay State, including nationally recognized bandleaders like Leo F. Reisman, Mal Hallett, and Edwin J. McEnelly, to jazz legends like Sylvester Ahola and Brad Gowans, to overseas icons Perley Breed and Al Starita.
