“Say That You Love Me” audio was released Friday December 10 as part of Oneness Records’ City Riddim compilation, and is now streaming on all DSPs. The track also appears on Yaadcore’s upcoming debut album, Reggaeland, set for release Feb. 3 via the artist’s own 12 Yaad label and Delicious Vinyl Island, the new Caribbean music imprint from iconic L.A. indie label Delicious Vinyl.

"Say That You Love Me” continues Yaadcore’s transformation from influential reggae selector/DJ to game-changing artist. Revered in reggae circles for creating the global party Dubwise Jamaica and for his role in helping establish the reggae revival movement led by artists like Protoje, Chronixx and Kabaka Pyramid, he released “Ready Now,” his first single as a vocalist, in 2019. The track, which instantly heralded him as an important new voice on the reggae scene, has been followed by equally well-praised singles like “The Calling” and “Nyquill (Spliff A Light Spliff),” a recent collaboration with Richie Spice.

“Say That You Love Me” takes a more traditional reggae approach than the ‘future roots’ sound of his earlier releases, with the singer baring his soul over a one-drop riddim produced by Germany’s Oneness Records.

“This song is really about disappointment in general, and not necessarily only in an intimate or a romantic relationship,” Yaadcore says of “Say That You Love Me.” “A lot of people have experienced this, with people’s actions not matching up to their words.”
