Verbania località Intra - lago Maggiore

La cittadina di Intra, che insieme a Pallanza, Suna e altre più piccole frazioni, costituisce il Comune di Verbania si affaccia sulle acque del Golfo Borromeo del Lago Maggiore.
Vivace centro turistico, dotato di strutture ricettive e servizi, Intra (intra flumina) deve il suo nome alla sua stretta collocazione tra i due torrenti San Bernardino e San Giovanni. Borgo di origine medievale, Intra conserva ancora oggi alcune tracce delle proprie origini.

The town of Intra, which together with Pallanza, Suna and other smaller hamlets, constitutes the Municipality of Verbania, overlooks the waters of the Borromean Gulf of Lake Maggiore.
A lively tourist centre, equipped with accommodation facilities and services, Intra (intra flumina) owes its name to its close location between the two streams San Bernardino and San Giovanni. A village of medieval origins, Intra still retains some traces of its origins today.
