Note. After Killzone 3, I tested another PS Move-supported game, Resistance 3. There are actually a few more major PS3 FPS titles with Move support, but after many failed attempts, these two are the only ones I’ve managed to play successfully.

Resistance 3 turned out to be a bit trickier than Killzone 3. First, the tutorial requires a melee attack that can only be performed by shaking the Move controller. Second, reloading (Square button) cannot be mapped to the Navigation Controller—it’s only mapped to the Move controller. In other words, this means you need a mouse with at least 5 buttons.

I managed to overcome these two obstacles and began testing. Of course, I’ll only be certain it works perfectly once I reach the ending.

The game does run smoothly like Killzone 3, but the movement feels a bit less comfortable than in Killzone 3. Also, when aiming down sights, the cursor slows down, though I’m not sure why yet. Still, it doesn’t interfere much with gameplay, so I’ve been steadily progressing through the chapters.

It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to focus on these two PS3 games with a light gun. The question is, will I actually make it all the way to the ending?
