Promised Consort Radahn with Sword Lance + Deflect Tear [Elden Ring SoTE RL1]

This was probably a longer grind than Malenia with +0 weapons for me. The only fight I think I spent more time on was Godskin Duo +0 with no status effects.

I first went for the exact same build but using Claymore. It's actually really good at stance breaking him: you can combine guard counters with charged R2. But the Sword Lance just does more damage and it's easier to time the stance break for after the phase transition. And in phase two it's just not worth going for deflects anymore, in my opinion.

I think they overcooked this fight quite a bit. In the end I very rarely died to the frame trap (1-2-X attack), but there is so much else that is bad about this boss. If you going to require such precise dodges, then you shouldn't make the arena non-flat, for example. Or the meteor attack that has a high chance of trapping you if you are too close to a wall.
