It’s time for the Finale of this Psychedelic show. Wait, is it even fair to simplify it?!

Moon Knight has offered us a look into the human condition like no other show has.

At last! We see some real action in this final episode of Moon Knight. And yet all of the action was earned! I mean, let’s go Scarlet Scarab!!

In this finale we see the return of Steven as Marc makes a truly selfless move and aligns with the better version of himself. He leaves the Fields of Reeds to try to save Steven from his Frozen “into eternity” state. Osiris sees the virtue and allows them to return from the dead.

In this episode we see that indeed Marc has been in a state of limbo, spiritual limbo that is…right after Harrow shot him he lays in the water.

Taweret succeeds in reaching out and connecting with Layla. It’s through Layla that Konshu’s is released and Marc given a second chance to stop Harrow as he’s adamant about releasing Ammitt.

As these forces collide, Harrow becomes Ammitt’s avatar. And Marc emerges as Moon Knight once more and Steven as Mr. Knight.

And now that we know the mental institute was also a part of Marc’s dealing with death and grief and the transition into the afterlife, we experience the question: who else was in the third pharaoh’s coffin?

As the battle culminates, seemingly like our heroes will LOSE, we experience another ominous blackout only to return to all foes rendered senseless and unconscious. Marc suddenly holds Harrow with his own cane/axe to Harrow’s head…someone else ended this fight…

It’s not until the end credits that we learn Jake Lockley has been fully unleashed!!

Just when we thought Marc and Steven have been set free of Khonshu, it’s at the mercy of Harrow, now in an actual mental institute, that we’re reminded someone who speaks Spanish picks up our villain only to end his threat for good.
