I noticed something astoundingly mind-blowing: if Pearl had not given Pink Diamond the idea to disguise as Rose Quartz to explore the Earth, neither of them would have met Greg- without Greg, no Steven.

Why I Ship Greg x Pearl
(in the “Steven Universe” cartoon series)

People may question why I ship Greg and Pearl. Overall, I see that they have a lot in common and could enjoy a marriage together.

I try to not discriminate against Garnet (and other such things in the series), although I strongly disagree with what they represent, so please respect my unlikely romance story. Shipping is all fantasy, coming from our ideas and views of the real world.

God created love, so let him define it. God created friendship and He created marriage. God made marriage as a relationship between a male and a female. We should stick to what God says love is. (Note that Pearl is portrayed as female, and Greg is male.)

If Greg and Pearl can let go of their difficult pasts, they can have a deepened friendship. Then, even a loving romance can spark. Greg and Pearl have a lot in common, this was already mentioned and seen in the show (for example, the episode “Mr. Greg” shone this light upon them).

Greg already has shown admiration for Pearl’s abilities. Greg has also put effort to understand gems, and therefore her. Pearl has also shown efforts to understand human society. With their understanding, they can deepen their relationship. They even both have a lot in common; Steven sang about this in “Mr. Greg”.

Love is patient, love is kind. Those who love their neighbors forgive. Marriage of Greg x Pearl could become an outstanding act of love, that could show that true love endures.
