Notes: This concept was inspired by an existing game mode of a Mario Kart Wii mod called “Mario Kart Wii CTGP Revolution” (or “CTGP Revolution”). The game mode is called “Countdown,” and it was created by MrBean35000vr. In the Countdown mode, players race on a Course against other racers, with a timer that counts down to 0. Players can increase their remaining time by hitting the other racers with Items.

Instead of a designated game mode in CTGP Revolution, this concept uses the Time Trial mode in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, with three Mushrooms as the only available Items. There is no way to increase a player's time during a race. However, the amount of time each player has to race is determined by their performance in a Baby Rosalina Party! minigame. “Time Trial Versus” was the proposed name for this concept.

Baby Rosalina Party! is a version of Mario Party that focuses on Baby Rosalina, using plushies and other recreations of Mario Party features. It was inspired by other YouTube users who made videos under the general title of “Mario Plush Party,” such as Plushgamer14.
Minigames are a component of Mario Party games that players participate in to receive a reward, and the reward that they earn is based on how they are ranked at the end of the minigame. For this Countdown-mode adaptation, the minigames reward players with dice, and the numbers they receive from the dice determine how much time they can race for. This was envisioned as a “Minigame mode” - a mode in Mario Party games that has a focus on completing minigames.

Additional:
For Baby Rosalina’s 10th anniversary, a video of this concept was planned with 4 Courses and 8 members of The Baby Rosie Crew. It was later decided that the video would not be ready for the 30th of May 2024, so this overview of the concept was created in its place. However, due to the time that this decision was made, this video was also released late.

The plushies are San-ei Boeki products, licensed by Nintendo. As a disclaimer, the Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina plushies are produced with their respective crowns attached to their heads. The plushies may look better when purchased as new copies, than the condition of the plushies you see in this video.

This video was inspired by (or uses) work from many creators that were not explicitly credited, like the Wright Eclipse Gemini model bus for example. This project and the video were created recreationally, in admiration of those original creations.
