La Sportiva Ridgeline Boot; Review & Unboxing - Mountaineering & Firefighting clean-up Boot (Part 1)

This is an unboxing and brief review if the Ridgeline boot by La Sportiva. This boot is a Italian made work and mountaineering boot for those that hike in 3 Seasons (low-alpine environment). It is not waterproof & the liner is designed to breathe. It is an excellent choice for those who work in the mountains. It can be used for fire clean up due to the Vibram Fire & Ice soles (ISO 20344 Certified), which can withstand 482F & heat-resistant dole glue which can withstand 215F (+ fire resistant Nomex laces). The footbed is a Makalu Last which was developed for mountaineering. Its designed to hold your foot in place so it is narrower in the heel and toe box than the classic Munson Last (the Munson Last was originally developed for the Army).
