Work specifically and you will get better transference. These drills in my opinion are much better than doing lots of circuit training when you do your winter training.
Here we are developing more specific movements and working muscles more specifically.

You'll see:
1: Single leg drive down
Focus on driving thigh back down under hip powerfully
2: Double leg drive down - perform as above but left-right-left-right and so on
3: Hip pull through
This really focusses on hamstring engagement. Keep the torso braced
4: Triple jumper extension
Don't lean back, really lift thigh, then extend and strike with power
5: Alternate drive down
This is a faster drill which compliments the others shown. Keep the range and coordinate arms with legs.
Do: 2-3 x 20m of each (left and right legs where appropriate).
Combining these 5 drills into a training unit will make a for a good preliminary workout unit in a fall/autumn session.It's typical of what we do.
