Florida Farmhouse Build - Overseeding The Pasture - Episode 9

In this episode, we are using our new King Kutter 500 seed spreader to overseed our pasture. We got this spreader from Rural King for just under $600. We are spreading Bahia, Pensacola and Browntop Millet seeds over our pasture to make it healthier. We purchased the seed from Hancock Seed Co. in Dade City, FL. We bought 450lbs of seed for $75 per 50lb bag. We also planted 100 lbs of Iron Clay Peas also purchased from Hancock Seed. The deer love to eat the Iron Clay Peas. I scattered them all over the pasture so Zoe can watch the deer every morning and evening. We first fertilized the pasture with 250lbs of 16-0-8 Professional Turf Fertilizer purchased from Lowes. We will be making an update video in the future to show the progress of the pasture after overseeding.
