A large number of studies have shown that 70% to 80% of mechanical equipment failures are caused by contamination of hydraulic and lubricating media - oil. The contamination wear caused by particulate contaminants in the oil is the main cause of failure of hydraulic components and damage to lubricating parts. Larger-sized particle contaminants in the oil may directly cause hydraulic adjustment sleeve jams, lubricating bearings or shaft diameter surface scratches and other faults, while smaller-sized particle contaminants in the oil enter the clearance of the moving parts of the hydraulic lubrication components, causing wear that will gradually expand the clearance, allowing larger-sized particles to enter the clearance of the moving parts, resulting in more severe wear. Contaminated particles may also work together with water in the oil to accelerate the oxidation and deterioration of the oil and reduce the service life of the oil.
