ABD Donanması, T-45 Goshawk'ın yerine geçecek yeni bir eğitim uçağı geliştirme sürecini yoğun bir şekilde sürdürüyor. Donanma, bu önemli projede aday uçakların özelliklerini ve gereksinimlerini belirlemeye çalışırken, olası bir sözleşme tarihini de ileriye çekti.
2 yıl ertelemeyle potansiyel sözleşme tarihi 2028’in ikinci çeyreğine ötelendi. Bu süreçte, yeni uçağın uçak gemisi iniş pratiği yapıp yapmayacağı gibi kritik detaylar değerlendirilecek.
ABD Donanması'nın T-45 Goshawk'ın yerine geçecek yeni bir eğitim uçağı arayışında, çeşitli adaylar öne çıkarken, Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii ( TUSAŞ - TAI )tarafından geliştirilen Hürjet de bu adaylar arasında dikkati çekiyor. Hürjet'in bu projeye adaylığı, hem Türkiye'nin havacılık sanayisindeki gelişimini yansıtmakta hem de uluslararası arenada rekabet edebilirliğini göstermektedir.
Projedeki adaylar şöyle:
Boeing T-7A Red Hawk: Boeing, T-7A Red Hawk'ın bir Donanma versiyonunu sunarak, ABD Hava Kuvvetleri için geliştirilen bu uçağın deniz versiyonuyla yarışa katılıyor.
Lockheed Martin TF-50N: Lockheed Martin, Kore Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii ile iş birliği yaparak, TF-50'nin yeni bir versiyonu olan TF-50N'yi sunuyor. T-50, Endonezya, Irak, Malezya, Filipinler, Polonya, Güney Kore ve Tayland gibi ülkelerde başarıyla kullanılıyor.
Textron ve Leonardo M-346N: Textron ve Leonardo, M-346'nın değiştirilmiş bir versiyonu olan M-346N'yi sunmak için bir araya geldi. Bu uçak, İtalya, Polonya ve Singapur gibi ülkelerde aktif olarak kullanılıyor.
Sierra Nevada Corp. ve TAI Hürjet: Sierra Nevada Corp., Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii ile iş birliği yaparak, Hürjet'in değiştirilmiş bir versiyonunu sunuyor.
Hürjet, modern aviyonik sistemlerle donatılmış, yüksek performanslı bir eğitim uçağı olarak tasarlandı. Hız, tavan irtifa ve manevra kabiliyeti açısından ABD Donanması'nın belirlediği kriterleri karşılayabileceği değerlendiriliyor.
Hürjet, çeşitli eğitim ihtiyaçlarına uyarlanabilir yapısıyla dikkati çekiyor. Özellikle, iniş pratiği gereksinimleri konusunda esnekliği, farklı eğitim senaryolarına adapte olabilme kapasitesi ile öne çıkıyor. The US Navy is intensively developing a new training aircraft to replace the T-45 Goshawk. While the Navy was trying to determine the features and requirements of candidate aircraft in this important project, it also brought forward a possible contract date.
With a 2-year delay, the potential contract date was postponed to the second quarter of 2028. In this process, critical details such as whether the new aircraft will be able to practice aircraft carrier landings will be evaluated.

Textron and Leonardo M-346N: Textron and Leonardo have teamed up to offer the M-346N, a modified version of the M-346. This aircraft is actively used in countries such as Italy, Poland and Singapore.
Sierra Nevada Corp. and TAI Hürjet: Sierra Nevada Corp., in cooperation with Turkish Aerospace Industries, offers a modified version of the Hürjet.
Hürjet was designed as a high-performance training aircraft equipped with modern avionics systems. It is evaluated that it can meet the criteria set by the US Navy in terms of speed, ceiling altitude and maneuverability.
