Drummer, producer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist Steve Jordan ​is known for his unique sound, individual style and distinctive groove, that always serves the song and is recognizable in the music. His session work has been with artists as diverse as the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, David Sanborn, James Taylor, Billy Joel, Stevie Nicks, B.B. King, Luther Vandross, Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Sheryl Crow, John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen. Most recently, Steve toured and recorded with John Mayer and Pino Palladino as the John Mayer Trio.

Most recently the Yamaha HW3 Crosstown lightweight hardware sparked Steve´s enthusiasm for a new drum product. Yamaha´s minimalistic and extremely light hardware is not only a blessing for touring drummers, but also enhances the cymbals ‘sound.

“Your cymbals now sound like your cymbals!” notes Steve adding “It does the same thing for the hi-hat cymbal and does the same thing for the snare! The snare is now just flying, singing, not being choked by a heavy stand with a lot of metal.”
