To keep your workspace organized by removing the template banner from the Google Slides home screen, navigate to slides.google.com and click the Main Menu (three horizontal lines) icon in the top-left corner. From the sidebar, select Settings and then toggle the switch for Display recent templates on home screens to the "Off" position; once you click OK, the Template Gallery section will disappear, leaving only your recent presentations visible for a more focused dashboard. If you ever need to use a pre-made design again, simply return to this same Settings menu to toggle the gallery back on, or click the More (three vertical dots) icon next to the "Template Gallery" text on the main page to select the hide option directly.
