The truth can hurt, that much we know
So why not hide it all?

It hurts me just as you'll be hurt
My loved ones cannot know
Strangers if they catch the word
Would make my worries grow

It eats away at my own soul
The pain I bare alone
I know that it will take its toll
With how much it has grown

Yet as it grows and gets much worse
It cannot be let out
What once was small is now a curse
That fills my head with doubt

The truth will hurt, that much I know
So I shall hide it all
