Danilo Steffanina's Pink Floyd concert poster collection

Описание к видео Danilo Steffanina's Pink Floyd concert poster collection

Danilo Steffanina owns one of the world's finest collections of Pink Floyd concert posters. In this video, he gives Ian Priston a tour of his personal gallery, explaining his motivations, the stories behind some of the artworks, and how the expertise he has developed over the years helps him decide what new pieces to add to his collection.

Approach: filmed with a handheld iPhone 13, 4K video at 30 fps using clip-on Comica wireless mics. Ian anticipated the opportunity and suggested making the film to Danilo when he saw the main room. Danilo happily accepted the proposal, but there was no time to prepare. No after-effects were added to the footage, and the discussion is spontaneous and unedited.

Ian Priston is co-author of 'Pink Floyd – BBC Radio 1967-1971'. The book, published in 2022, covers its subject in unprecedented depth, combining extensive research with thoughtful analysis and offering many new additions to our understanding of this period. All the best sources for the recordings are described, alongside firsthand recollections from audience members, BBC engineers and fans who helped preserve Pink Floyd’s legacy when the BBC did not.

Ian is currently focusing on the Fingals Cave Podcast, which he co-hosts with Nils Zehnpfennig. The podcast explores the Pink Floyd experiences of collectors, tapers, traders, researchers, musicians, producers and eyewitnesses and is building a following. Ian and Nils have attracted some really interesting guests and more are in the pipeline.
