In very few works is the theme of lying to oneself explored, and I was really surprised by this. Lying to oneself isn't just focused on Mark's situation but also applies to other situations, like a toxic relationship where we deceive ourselves by saying it's not that bad, or pretending to be happy when in reality we have unresolved issues that we choose to ignore, thus lying to ourselves.

I wanted to dedicate this edit mainly to convey the message of not lying to ourselves until we reach an extreme point like Mark did. That being said, thank you for watching!
