This was the first show to be called 'French and Saunders', four years before the start of their BBC series, and was part of a six part series called The Entertainers, produced by the great Paul Jackson. The double act of Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders first became well-known through live shows at The Comic Strip, which then became the title of series of comedy films, the first of which was Five Go Mad In Dorset, starring both Dawn and Jennifer.
